I first bought this in 04, it quickly became my go-to lipstick. The color is like a neutral/mauve and looks great on my already very pigmented lips. The formula is smooth and long lasting, I don't find it drying either. I have purchased at least 5 tubes of this stuff lol.

Wow, what a surprise! I found a sample of this lipstick a few months back in one of the many mags I subscribe to. The shade was Coffee Shimmer. I was first impressed by the scent, I can't put my finger on it but it's kind of cocoa butter-y or shea butter-y. I can't stand floral perfumed/scented lip stuff. When I applied it, I thought it had a great texture and feel. Smooth and moist but not too creamy or heavy. It was nice and light. I found I could reapply throughout the day without any gross caking at all. The shade was awesome on me! It's the perfect neutral, looks great with a variety of lip liners from metallic beige to deep chocolate (blend, blend!). I wear this constantly and am on my 4th tube, which is unheard of for me, since being a beauty junkie means I am extremely fickle and easily bored. This drugstore find is one of my new staples...and word must be getting around, because whenever I go to buy a new one, Coffee Shimmer is usually sold out! One thing I should say is that, IMO it doesn't stay on any longer than your average lipstick, so the name "Lasting Finish" is a bit of a mystery to me... Review Challenge Jan. 2005
I received a free sample in "Coffee Shimmer" and liked it so much that I went and purchased a tube of the same color. It's moist and easy to apply, not drying like some of the other long wear lipsticks. It didn't really last the 7 hours like they advertise but does wear longer then a lot of others I've tried. I'm anxious to try other Rimmel products now and recommend this one highly.
